Beware of Dangerous Pit bulls & XL Bulls

So I keep reading in the papers and on the web about people being attacked by pit bulls. One about some grandma in Houston, Texas. One about some woman in Portland. Another about some poor kid in Florida. Another about a baby being killed in Ohio and a while back about some kids being killed in Florida. I also read about some 16 year girl in the UK that was killed. Good grief people. Stay far away from these things. They should not be kept as pets. Do not allow your children near these things unsupervised or in general. They can be aggressive and should likely be banned. They also attack animals as one poodle was killed in LA a few weeks ago on a walk. Often they attack their own owners too.

The facts speak for themselves

Pit Bull accounted for 66% of all fatalities in the 13-year span. That’s 284 deaths from 2005 to 2017. And the data tell us that the Pit Bull is very likely, the most dangerous dog breed in the country (and possibly the world).

So if you own one of these get rid of it. That includes mixes one finds at shelters. Bear in mind YOU will be criminally liable if something goes wrong. Also, YOU could be held civilly liable for medical expenses and wrongful death lawsuit. This is really expensive and could bankrupt YOU. What if the animal attacks your neighbor and they get $200K in medical expenses? They sue you and the judge orders YOU to pay $200K. What are YOU going to do? What if there is a wrongful death lawsuit? You are going to lose your house, car and savings. Screw that. That is not worth the risk! Get rid of it and get another breed of dog if you want a dog. If you want to scare away criminals as you live in a rough area maybe get another breed. If I lived in the hood I would opt for a knife and/or pistol personally depending on what is allowed in your area. You can’t take the dog everywhere with you after all. Dogs are not allowed on the subway train where I live anyways.

if there are ones in your neighborhood keep your kids far away and keep an eye on them at all times . If you have one that is stray roaming around in your area call animal control or the police to capture it.

In general big dogs should not be allowed near small children. Animals are unpredictable. You don’t know what they are thinking and their brains aren’t all that big anyways. They are stupid.

Ask your town, city or council to ban them. Too many bad things have happened. While I am sure there are plenty of good ones out there that are the exception to the rule it’s not worth the risk with bad and abusive owners.

There are lots of things that might seem safe but are not once you look at the statistics. Say NYC helicopter rides as a family found out but any NYC local will tell you they crash quite often. Into the river they went from a great height. And that is not the first time. If you want to see NYC go to an observation deck or take a boat tour. It’s best not to take chances in life. I also heard about an Egyptian tourist sub that sank and obviously those rich fools on the sub to see the Titanic that imploded. If it seems like a bad idea it probably is. The funny thing is I used to see this old guy in my area that rode this weird lie down style bike around. I thought man that looks dangerous given how low it was in traffic. Can they see him? I barely could see him in my Nissan. Well needless to say a year or so later I read in the paper he got run over by a semi truck 18 wheeler as we was so low that the driver could not see him from the cab when making a right turn. The trailer ran him over! 12 wheels and all. Poor chap but it was self inflicted. Stay safe and don’t take dumb risks people.
